Use #2 for a Pocket Knife: Cutting Thread

Thankfully you have a pocket knife to cut it

Shortly after purchasing my pocket knife, and within minutes of carving my first marshmallow sticks my pocket knife was called into action once again to cut a nagging thread dangling from the bottom of my shirt.  This thread had been hanging and annoying me for some time, but I had been too lazy to cut it with scissors or a kitchen knife until the opportunity came along to dispatch of it with my shiny new knife.

Forever logged as my official second use of my pocket knife, cutting spare threads continues to be a useful task for my trusty knife.  I do have to say that it’s easy for this use to backfire slightly if your blade isn’t very sharp (which mine is not).  Scissors might be more effective and preserve your garments better than a knife, which can risk pulling more thread out while in the act of cutting.  Try to hold tight the thread and cut or slice it without pulling on the thread with much force.
