documenting the many uses for the common pocket knife
I was reloading my Dad’s 1960s era Daisy BB gun and for those familiar with the mechanism it involves a long spring loaded slide which has to be depressed fully to load. The first try was with my fingers and as is typical with Murphy’s law the slide slipped and sliced a gash in my thumb.
I learned my lesson the hard and bloody way and next time used my leatherman pliers to hold the slide. I now have a new more effective method that is safer and quicker than by hand.
