You Need To Carry It To Use It

I found recently that I had gone weeks without using my pocket knife and was wondering why I hadn’t found the need. I realized that I did still have the need from time to time but no one task was compelling enough to motivate me to search for it. I had put my pocket knife in my wife’s purse for a family trip (mistake one) and upon returning from vacation up north I never retrieved it.

There it sat at the bottom of her purse, drowning in women’s purse things waiting to be rescued and put back in it’s proper place (my pocket). I’ve learned my lesson and will pocket my trusty knife each and every morning from here on out.
